Class Descriptions

Mini Movers:

The perfect pre-dance class. These little ones will learn body awareness and explore how the body moves by practicing creative movement through dance play, lessons, and imagination. This is the perfect opportunity to get your young one exposed to friends their age, in a classroom setting, while working on their musicality, listening skills as well as fine and gross motor skills.

3/4yr:

This introductory class will introduce the fundamentals of dance in ballet, tap, and tumble. Through structured lessons, imagination, games, creative movement, and obstacle courses, they will learn self-expression, practice rhythmic studies, and find absolute joy in dancing.

Technique Class:

A class structured to work on all dance foundations. Includes warm-up, isolations, ballet barre concepts, balance, turn out, stretching, jumps, lengthening, core strength, center floor work, progressions across the floor, and much more. This class is a must for any dancer wanting to progress to the fullest of their ability while taking recital choreography classes. These dancers will develop a stronger appreciation of dance

Athlete Xtraining:

This class is a conditioning class for dancers and athletes. Focusing on core, muscle strength, balance, intensity, and reps to encourage well-rounded athletes and help prevent injuries. Perfect for those athletes off-season, or dancers wanting an extra push.

Ballet & Babies:

A class geared to moms or dads who want to take ballet and wear their babies while taking class. Giving you a chance to do something you enjoy, while meeting new friends, changing scenery, and working on staying healthy all at the same time.

Triple Threat:

Also known as the ability to Dance, Sing, and act. This class is ideal for students involved in school musicals and show choir. You’ll learn and practice the dance skills needed for shows while singing along in class, as well as working on showmanship and acting. Expect a whole lot of fun!

Jazz:

This class is the most popular and long-lasting style of dance. The class emphasizes expression, flexibility, extensions, traveling, turns, and isolated movement. It's typically energetic and follows many social trends involving popular upbeat music.

Ballet:

In ballet class, dancers will practice precise, conventional steps with movement of grace and fluidity. This structured class typically begins with a ballet barre, some center work, and progressions across the floor.

Tap:

Learn to make music with your feet! This class works on the technique and development of different rhythms, tempos, syncopation, and sound clarity while alternating styles and volumes. Center work, across-the-floor work, and combos will strengthen your tap skills in this class.

Lyrical:

This class combines the styles of ballet, jazz, and a little modern. Lyrical dance is often poetic and expressive. The dancers often have an emotional connection to the music or story of the dance.

Broadway:

These classes incorporate many dance styles with theater. We like to incorporate acting, lip-syncing, prop usage, and storytelling. We use songs from musicals throughout the class. Dancers can expect exaggerated movements, expressions, and high energy.

Hip Hop:

This popular class involves low, grounded movements with bounces, rocks, and beats to popular music. Dancers wear sneakers and baggier clothes.
